Fabian Sbarro, a multi-disciplinary Swiss-Italian artist, was born in 1978 in Yverdon-les-Bains. At age 16 he attended the Ecole Cantonale d’Arts Visuels de Bienne. In the following years he exhibited his first works and completed his learning with sculptors, painters and photographers. As someone who is self-taught, he continues artistic exploration while developing his artistic expression. He won an art scholarship, and in 2008 left to live in Brussels where he undertook a great many collaborations: he exhibited in Belgium, France and Switzerland; staged his “installation artworks” in the streets of Lyon, Brussels and Berlin. His frequent trips to Italy (where he lived for 4 years) highlighted various collaborative painting and video projects. Since his return to Switzerland, he has worked for numerous musicians and artists. It is the world of theatre that has inspired what he calls “the metaphysics of encounters”, a serious of works representative of his approach and philosophy.
